Loglines are impossible to write! One sentence to stand for 100 pages? You must be kidding right?!?
Loglines are very difficult to write, but I find that if you can’t condense your story down to one sentence, you don’t know what your story is about, and it’s probably not worth reading.
Regardless, for people who get nothing but screenplays in the mail, there has to be a way to separate the wheat from the chaff, and loglines are the trick.
No strong logline? Find your screenplay in the trash.
